Do you supply samples of your work?

We have a number of requests for samples and could not possibly supply them all, so unfortunately we have to say no to sample requests.

I buy perfumed candles from a number of shops, but they never smell strong when I burn them?

Perfume candles can deteriorate over time, refresh the perfume by putting a small amount of essential oils into the pool of wax as the candle burns, use a cocktail stick or a matchstick to add a few drops.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Most orders are dispatched within two weeks, but please allow 28 days UK only; you will be advised by email of any delays. We aim to send your order to you by the quickest means, but as most items are handmade, they may take a while to make and then dispatch.

I want to commission a piece of work, can I contact you direct?

Yes, we would be pleased to help you, to have what you want, we can create a personalised item for you or we can create it from your details, photos, drawing, ideas etc. please contact us.

Because we create very unusual and original handmade candles that you will find on the internet we have a unique collection of handmade candles anywhere; we have something for everyone and for all seasons, events and personal requirements. We have candle gifts that are very affordable and will be prestigious to own as well as to give; our designs are only made by us in the UK. Can I come to Christchurch to visit your studio?

Our studio is not normally open to visitors; we are hoping to open it in the Dorset arts week, see published details for this event at the tourist office.

I have a shop, can you supply me on a wholesale basis?

Yes, we can supply retail and corporate businesses direct, we can also create designs exclusively for you, please contact us about this, we would be pleased to give you a quote on your requirements. We can supply from our general range or you can have bespoke work, commissioned to your requirements. Please see our wholesale section.

Are all your designs exclusive and original to you?

Yes, we create all our designs at our studio in Christchurch, many of our designs start out as plasticine models and some are just put together as plans or free form. We do design all our own work; we also have experienced crafters who carry out the making of the designs, many of our designs are in peoples collections all over the world.

Where does candle wax come from?

There are a lot of different waxes available, the most used these days are, paraffin wax comes from crude oil and other organic sources, bees wax from bees, soy wax from soy bean, and gel wax, an oil with a small amount of resin added. There is also tallow, stearin, spermaceti, carbauba, montan, ghedda, insect, Chinese, palm, coconut, bayberry, and laurel waxes.

I am a candle collector, do you create limited editions or special candles?

Yes we create signed pieces, limited editions and short product designs, we also retire some designs, as well as create new ones, the collector can always be assured that the candle they have in their collection is Handmade, but it may have the added benefit of being a limited design, as well as from time to time we signs some candles making them extra special to collect.

Do you have a collectors club I can join?

We are in the process of setting up a collectors club, requests for this comes in from all over the world, we aim to create designs exclusively for collectors with limited editions, and free joining gifts and candle information, email us to be added to the list of new members and as soon as it is set up we will email you the joining details and let you know what’s new.

The candles are too nice; I wouldn’t want to burn them.

Well, candles are meant to be burned, burning the candle will change the shape of the candle as well it allows the candles to glow, some candles are best when burnt, because they are perfumed, made to be a hurricane candle, give light or simply to glow. If you collect candles of the different designs you may not want to burn them, we suggest that you can cut off the wick where it comes out of the top of the candle, with a pair of scissors or a pair of nail clippers, which will prevent it from being burnt easily.

Can I receive an Order quickly in time for a birthday or Christmas?
Yes. Simply give us a call just before you place your order and ask us for our Special Delivery option. For a few pounds more we can send your order by 24 hour Special Delivery.
